Voter Registration

Once you have registered it is not necessary to register again unless

  1. You move to another town. It is then necessary to register again in your new town. This can be done by mail by calling the Registrars of Voters Office in your new town and requesting a mail-in application form, or you may appear in person.

  2. You move out of state. You should immediately contact your new Registrars of Voters to make sure you are familiar with the last date you can register before an election. This varies state from state to state.

It is necessary, however, to notify the Registrars of Voters office if

  1. You move within town.

  2. Your status changes (i.e.) admission to a nursing home; entry into the military service; a move to a foreign country and other instances where you want to keep your current address even though in fact you are not living there. You may legally maintain a single address of your choice.
