CALENDAR NO. 88-2002

The application of Joseph and Veronica DeLora filed on October 23, 2002 for a variation of Section 406 of the Darien Zoning Regulations to allow the construction of a two-story addition. Section 406: 19.2 in lieu of 25.0 feet minimum required rear yard setback. The property is situated on the east side of Fairfield Avenue approximately 220 feet north of the intersection of West Avenue and Fairfield Avenue and is shown on Tax Assessor’s Map #20 as Lot #132, being 10 Fairfield Avenue and located in an R-1/3 (residential) Zone.

CALENDAR NO. 89-2002

The application of William W. Seymour and Associates on behalf of William and Marguerite Shepard filed on October 23, 2002 for an interpretation and/or variations of Section 406 of the Darien Zoning Regulations to allow the construction of one and two story additions. Section 406: 22.8 in lieu of 25.0 feet minimum required rear yard setback; 19.3 in lieu of 30.0 feet minimum required front yard setback; and construction of additional building volume on a lot with 21.0 in lieu of 20.0% maximum allowable building coverage. CALENDAR NO. 95-2002

The application of Barbara and Kevin Keady filed on November 20, 2002 for a variation of Section 406 of the Darien Zoning Regulations to allow the construction of a sport court. Section 406: 10.0 in lieu of 15.0 feet minimum required side yard setback and 15.0 in lieu of 25.0 feet minimum required rear yard setback. The property is situated on the west side of Rainbow Circle approximately 200 feet north of the intersection of Tokeneke Road and Rainbow Circle and is shown on Tax Assessor’s Map #37 as Lot #18B, being 6 Rainbow Circle and located in an R-1/2 (residential) Zone.

CALENDAR NO. 96-2002

The application of Gleason and Hill, LLC on behalf of Patricia D. Toogood filed on November 20, 2002 for an interpretation of Section 385 and, if necessary a variation of Section 406 of the Darien Zoning Regulations to allow the construction of a dwelling. Section 385: a determination that the subject lot is a legal nonconforming building lot; and Section 406: 37,679 in lieu of 43,560 square feet minimum lot size; and 112 in lieu of 150 feet minimum required lot depth.
The property is situated on the northeast side of Salem Straits approximately 250 feet southeast of the intersection of Salem Straits and Goodwives River Road and is shown on Tax Assessor’s Map #62 as Lot #42, being 000 Salem Straits and located in an R-1 (residential) Zone.

CALENDAR NO. 97-2002

The application of Babette A.M. Arroyo filed on November 20, 2002 for a variation of Section 406 of the Darien Zoning Regulations to allow construction of a two and one-half story addition. Section 406: 26.5 in lieu of 30.0 feet minimum required front yard setback. The property is situated on the west side of Hollow Tree Ridge Road at the intersection of Stanton Road and Hollow Tree Ridge Road and is shown on Tax Assessor’s Map #47 as Lot #133, being 59 Hollow Tree Ridge Road and located in an R-1/3 (residential) Zone.
