The staff has a wide range of experience and training in the area of Human Services and is available to assist residents either by phone, e-mail or in their office at Town Hall. Press Release

The Darien Social Service Department is now taking applications for the Energy Assistance program for 2008-09 until May 1, 2009.

Proof of income is required. This includes, but not limited to, Social Security, pension employment and interest income from any source. If you are employed, we will need your last four weeks pay stubs.

Proof of liquid assets is also required. Individuals, couples, and families may have liquid assets up to $10,000 for home owners and $7,000 for renters and still remain eligible for the program.
