Marriage Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk's Office in the town in which the couple is being married.
Couples must complete the Marriage License Worksheet (PDF).

Once we have reviewed your request, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment to come to the Town Clerk's Office at Darien Town Hall to sign and pay for the license.
Both parties must appear on their own behalf in the Town Clerk's Office with current Government-issued photo ID in hand during their appointment to receive the marriage license.
Once issued, the marriage license is good for 65 days.
The fee for the license is $50, and a certified copy of the completed license may be pre-ordered for an additional $20. Payment may be made with cash or check only (payable to the Town of Darien). Neither credit nor debit cards are accepted.
