Volunteer Opportunities

Darien residents benefit from the countless hours of volunteer work that bring forth successful projects and activities throughout the year.  The volunteers who serve on the Town Boards, Commissions and Committees work to bring our community together and serve Darien in a responsible and caring way.  This volunteerism is at the core of what makes Darien special.

Two of the most popular town events are the annual Memorial Day Parade and the July 4th Fireworks Celebration. Both of these extremely popular events are in need of people to chair and serve on the planning committees. Additionally, in 2020 the Town of Darien will proudly celebrate 200 years since becoming incorporated and we would like to form a bi-centennial committee to begin planning recognition of this special occasion. Please contact the Selectmen’s office to work on any of these events.

At present, several of the Town Boards, Commissions and Committees are in need of volunteers and would welcome your interest.
